Kita is a 21-year-old female, who is of East Timorese and Filipino Australian heritage. A fierce and passionate advocate, Kita strives for positive change throughout the social service system. As a young person with lived experience of out-of-home-care, Kita works as a Young Consultant for multiple organisations and uses her voice on behalf of others in similar positions. Having never been published before, Kita utilises poetry as means of expression and a way to detail her experiences of what it means to be a kid in out-of-home-care.
