Right Now is a volunteer, not-for-profit media organisation led by young people focused on human rights issues in Australia. We are committed to covering human rights issues through free, accessible, creative and engaging online, print and radio media. Our work begins with the belief that creating a positive, rights-respecting culture in Australia begins with the flow of information.

VISION

Our vision is an Australia where human rights are a part of everyday conversation.

MISSION

Right Now’s mission is to enliven informed discussion and expression of human rights issues in Australia through online media, radio and print.

AIMS

Right Now aims to promote writing, art and radio that broadens the human rights conversation in Australia. We hope to provide a space for open discussion that includes the diverse voices and experiences of our communities. In all our endeavours we hope to promote awareness by making “human rights talk” engaging, inclusive, relevant and equitable.

Whether it be visual art, music, film or creative writing, Right Now aims to support creative expression that responds to human rights. In doing so, Right Now seeks to move beyond academic and legal analysis to become more engaging and accessible.
