Benjamin Aitken is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is deeply influenced by personal experience in prison and a commitment to social change. Aitken is a five-time finalist in the Archibald Prize, and has also been honoured with the Tony Fini Foundation Prize at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. In addition to his artistic practice, Aitken runs Nicholas Projects, an artist-run initiative that fosters community and professional growth by hosting itinerant exhibitions that support artists at various stages of their careers.
