Jamie Gardiner, Daniel Webb and Caroline Lambert – Right Now Radio Summer Edition

In the second live-to-air summer edition of Right Now Radio, Ben, Rachael and Emily covered a diverse range of interesting and pertinent issues.

Liberty Victoria’s Jamie Gardiner discussed the Victorian Government’s historic announcement that it will legislate to erase the criminal records of homosexual men convicted for having consensual sex when it was illegal.

Daniel Webb from the Human Rights Law Centre discussed some of the concerning behind the scenes aspects of Australia’s asylum seeker practices, including the process of ‘screening out’ refugee applications.

Caroline Lambert from YWCA Australia also dropped by to provide an overview of the status of women’s rights in Australia.
