“When we gather together, we create this beautiful energy. So there are no differences in this world when we dance together. The spirit is one.  Well it’s the same with our stories…Come dance with us!” Tom E. Lewis

On October’s edition of Right Now Radio, Rach and Ev fill the Stocky shaped hole in the show with a lively show featuring Tom E. Lewis, the co-creator and lead actor of the play Shadow King.  Showing at Malthouse Theatre as part of the Melbourne Festival from 11 to 27 October, this play is an Indigenous adaptation of Shakespeare’s King Lear. Speaking about his country, family, journey and inspiration in creating this play, Tom reveals just how joyful making this tragedy has been.

We also catch up with Jess O’Callaghan from Right Now’s editorial team about this month’s theme of violence and Sam Ryan gives us his review of a not so kick ass film, Kick Ass 2.

Tune in and keep your eyes peeled on the Right Now Facebook page for upcoming interviews with special guests artists and giveaways for Melbourne Festival shows!
